Our FM listed Automatic Doorway Spill Containment Barriers contains Chemical / Fire Water liquid spills by automatically closing upon the introduction of liquids into the built-in collection sump. Remains open until spill, allowing normal pedestrian and vehicular traffic. 100% automatic operation – no external power source or manual operation required. Please note: that our spill containment barrier is FM Approved for widths of 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 feet (FM 4985). Designed to fit in doorways between 3 and 16 feet wide with liquid retention heights of 12, 18, and 23 inches. Solid welded stainless steel construction. Self contained one piece system design. Fully automatic operation, no external power source required. Easy installation in existing doorways; stores horizontally in the floor, permitting unobstructed vehicular and personnel traffic until a spill or flash flood occurs. Open barrier provides up to 6.5 tons axle weight capacity. When not deployed, barrier door stores flat in floor, eliminating the need for ramps or berms. Automatically closes with introduction of liquid in the built-in collection sump, creating a liquid tight seal and containing the spill in the room where it originated.
